The latest saga in the Ys series is due to launch this Fall! Ys X: Nordics will put you in control of the young adventurer Adol Christin, and his unlikely ally, the Norman pirate Karja. Together they must embark on a seafaring adventure to save the townsfolk of the Obelia Gulf from the undying monsters known as the Grieger.

We've been treated to an announcement trailer too, so check it out and get a feel for the game world and the characters that live in it!

Prepare yourself to take to the waters of the Obelia Gulf, navigate vast stretches of ocean, fight naval battles with enemy vessels, and uncover the mystery behind the Griegers.

Ys X: Nordics will allow you to make use of the Cross Action System, which will let you swap between controlling Adol and Karja independently or together. You will be able to combine their unique strengths to overcome enemies and build up your Revenge Gauge, which will allow you to unleash devastating attacks.

Ys X: Nordics is due to release on Steam in Fall 2024. We have no word on pricing or system requirements yet, so it's hard to say how the game might run on the Steam Deck, however, we do know that the game is coming to the Nintendo Switch, which gives us a good amount of hope for the Deck, and previous entries into the Ys series tended to run well, so there's hope that Ys X: Nordics will continue the trend!
