Xbox just hosted their big yearly showcase! Given that the Xbox brand is pretty much ubiquitous with PC nowadays, and the fact that they are largely a multi-platform company, there was plenty of news for Steam Deck users and gamers in general alike. Let's take a look at all the announcements made during the showcase.

The Outer Worlds 2 Gets an October 29th Release Date and a Story Trailer

The Outer Worlds 2, Obsidian's highly anticipated RPG, has finally received an October 29th release date, along with a new story trailer, although I'm not sure how much we care about the story in these games!

High on Life 2 Announced, Coming This Winter

Another new game announcement, this time High on Life 2 is back, hopefully the absence of the guns talking in the trailer means that the entire game isn't based around just that concept... We can hope!

Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy, a Prequel, is Coming in 2026

Embark on an original story, prequel to the award-winning games: A Plague Tale. As Sophia, journey to the Minotaur’s Island, outsmart deadly foes, unravel ancient secrets, and confront a mythical creature at the heart of a devastating curse.

ROG Xbox Ally X and ROG Xbox Ally Announced, Featuring Ryzen Z2 Extreme and Ryzen Z2A APUs

Xbox has unveiled 2 new handhelds working in partnership with ASUS, the ROG Xbox Ally X and the ROG Xbox Ally. You can read more about them in Noah's article.

Silksong Will Be Launching This Holiday Season

No trailer for this one, but Xbox's Sarah Bond did slip into the presentation that Hollowknight: Silksong will be playable on the Xbox handheld when it launches, denoting that Silksong will also launch this holiday season.

The Blood of Dawnwalker Launches in 2026

Not much information about this one, not even a Steam store page. But we do know it will be a single-player, open-world RPG with a focus on the storyline.

Super Meat Boy is Back, and in 3D! Coming Early 2026

Again, no Steam store page for our meat-cube friend, but we at least got some gameplay footage, and it looks like Super Meat Boy might be making the transition to 3D fairly well!

Ninja Gaiden 4 Gets a Release Date of October 21st

The hack and slash action adventure game has gotten an October 21st release date, so you won't have long to wait until you can dive back into Ryu's adventure.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is Getting 'The Order of Giants' DLC, Coming September 4th

I was a big fan of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle when I reviewed it last year, and it's now getting a further DLC in The Order of Giants. Hopefully, they keep up the same quality in the DLC as they did in the main game.

Project Bloom is Beast of Reincarnation, Coming in 2026

The game previously known as Project Bloom has revealed itself as Beast of Reincarnation, an Action RPG souls-like from the team at Game Freak.

A Much Deeper Look at Clockwork Revolution

The team behind the Wasteland games is bringing us Clockwork Revolution, and it does look like a really promising and intriguing game to me. I hope it plays as good as it looks and sounds.

Grounded 2 is Entering Early Access on July 29th

Ready to trigger that arachnophobia? Grounded 2 made a surprise appearance at the show, and you won't have long to wait either, as the game is coming in July. You can also tame and ride on bugs!

The Elder Scrolls Online: Seasons of the Worm Cult, Coming June 18th

Another day, another chapter in The Elder Scrolls Online! Although it does look like there is a big event planned later this year that might have more than the usual impact on the game world.

Aphelion, an Action Stealth Adventure, Coming 2026

Stranded on a frozen planet, astronaut Ariane must brave rugged landscapes and shifting realities to rescue her wounded partner, Thomas. This action-packed sci-fi adventure blends exploration, traversal, and tense stealth gameplay. 

There are No Ghosts at The Grand, Coming in 2026

Inherit a crumbling English hotel and restore it by day, while battling ghosts by night. With a sardonic cat, a talking power tool, and a twisting supernatural plot, this is a musical mystery unlike any other. Will you be able to hold it together while everything around you falls apart?

Age of Mythology Retold: Heavenly Spear Expansion, Coming Fall 2025

Age of Mythology: Retold got a new Expansion announcement in the form of Heavenly Spear, which will add a new campaign to the game, alongside new gods, units, and maps.

Mudang: Two Hearts, a Violent Korean Shooter, Coming 2026

Another game with no store pages, but this looks like an intriguing game that doesn't hold back. It will be interesting to see where this third-person stealth game goes in the future.

Planet of Lana II: Children of the Leaf, Coming in 2026

A slight change of pace, Planet of Lana has just had its sequel revealed. After saving their planet from invasion by the robot army, you will now explore the depths of Novo, and you might not like what you find.

Fallout 76's Latest Update Added Fishing

I have nothing more to say, it's Fallout 76, you can farm, you can fish, you can shoot things, Fallout!

Solo Leveling Arise: Overdrive, Coming Fall 2025

I have no idea what this is, I'm not an anime guy! But I've heard plenty about it, and I know people are excited, so now you know, Solo Leveling: ARISE OVERDRIVE will launch in the Fall of 2025.

Aniimo, a Creature Collecting Action RPG, Coming 2026

Yet another game with no store pages. This one looks like an absolutely gorgeous Action RPG, where you get to play as the creatures that you collect and do battle.

Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3+4 Gets a Launch Trailer, Releases July 11th

Get hyped for the legendary franchise to return with Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4. Everything you loved is back, but revamped with more skaters, new parks, gnarlier tricks, and eardrum-shattering music.

Apparently, we also have Doom Guy and the TMNT making an appearance. Whether they are Xbox exclusives or not remains to be seen.

At Fates End, From the Creators of Spiritfarer, Coming 2026

At Fate’s End is an action-adventure game where you fight the ones you love, and your skill tree is your family tree. Explore a lush fantasy world, defeat the foul creatures of the realm, and face your estranged siblings in intense, emotional duels to decide your family’s fate.

If it's anything like Spiritfarer, they're going to make sure you cry, I just know it!

Gears of War: Reloaded Enhances the First Game, August 26th, 2025

If you want to watch manly men do manly things like be men, then Gears of War is definitely the franchise for you. Now you can watch the men do other things men do in higher fidelity and with smoother motion, thanks to Gears of War: Reloaded upping the frame rate, adding ultrawide resolution support, and new upscaling technologies, alongside cross-platform multiplayer.

If you can't tell, I don't know much about Gears of War.

Persona 4 Revival Announced, No Release Date Yet

We all knew it was coming, thanks to plenty of leaks beforehand, but the Persona 4 remake was confirmed during the show. We didn't really get any info besides a short clip, not even a release date, but at least we know it's happening.

Sea of Thieves Season 17, Smugglers Tide, Adds Explosive Loot in August

Ready for some more Sea of Thieves Shenanigans? Well, Season 17 is just around the corner, adding some valuable, yet explosive loot that raises the stakes.

Invincible VS is a New Fighting Game Based on the TV Show, Coming 2026

Invincible VS is a brutal superhero 3v3 tag fighting game set in the Invincible universe, where you can battle to the death as a team of fan-favorite characters in iconic locations.

Keeper, a New Double Fine Game, Coming October 17th

From Lee Petty and Double Fine Productions, Keeper is a story told without words, in which a long-forgotten lighthouse is awakened and, joined by a spirited seabird, it embarks upon a heartening tale of unlikely companionship and an unexpected journey into realms beyond understanding.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Teased in New Trailer

Surprising no one, a new Call of Duty was announced at the show. Perhaps more surprisingly is the fact that it's Black Ops 7, releasing straight after Black Ops 6. The storyline does look at least a little intriguing, with a full reveal promised for later this Summer.

That's all for the Xbox Games Showcase 2025! There were plenty of surprises in there that seemed to avoid getting leaked, so that's always good to see!
