If you’re someone who’s ever wondered what your dog does when you leave the house, Doggy Don’t Care may give you nightmares. This upcoming simulation game has you controlling a dog who’s been left alone, causing chaos and solving puzzles. It looks like a lot of fun, and we won’t have to wait much longer to try the game out for ourselves. And according to developer Rohan Nowell, it’s going to be one we can enjoy on the Steam Deck.

Ahead of its launch in two weeks, Rohan made a Steam news post about how he’s been testing the game extensively on the Deck and that it’s running perfectly. He mentions that the game plays smoothly, the controls work well, and the whole game can be played comfortably. I also asked directly about the kind of performance we could expect, and he mentioned there was over 60 FPS at the default settings.
I’ve been following the game for quite some time, and I’ve especially enjoyed the marketing he has used. Over the course of development, he has taken pictures and put the dog in them, and that’s been extremely entertaining to see. There are some of the Simpsons, Control, and even the new Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake poster. It’s wonderfully entertaining and has definitely sparked my interest in the game.

Doggy Don’t Care will be released on September 24th and can be wishlisted ahead of its launch.
