Lunar Lander, an early Atari game from the 1970s, is getting re-imagined in the form of Lunar Lander Beyond. Gone are the old vector graphics, replaced with beautiful smooth hand-drawn visuals, with even smoother gameplay!

Check out the game's trailer below:

Lunar Lander Beyond goes past the simplistic gameplay you might be used to with Lunar Lander, instead offering detailed environments that you must navigate, a range of characters for you to meet, and a storyline spanning 30 different missions across 5 different moons and planets.

There are also different ships for you to use, different characters with differing abilities, upgrades for you to equip, as well as 4 different difficulty levels, including permadeath mode! Lunar Lander Beyond is shaping up to be the ultimate Lunar Lander experience!

Just don't mind the pink elephants, they aren't real, and they can't hurt you... right?

Lunar Lander Beyond launches this Spring, a demo is available now on Steam. It has full controller support and modest system requirements, so should run well on the Steam Deck.
