Roguelikes are some of the best games to play on the Steam Deck, due to them being a bit more on the simpler side with a good chunk of replayability in the form of short runs. There are so many that are truly incredible on the Deck, and in this article, I want to go over 10 amazing roguelikes I highly recommend getting into your portable library during the Steam Summer Sale.

And feel free to check out some of our current recommendations, including:
The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth Complete Bundle - $5.06 (90% Off)

Of course, I had to include Isaac as the first option here purely because it is so heavily discounted, which is wonderful. You run around in the basement using tears to kill enemies and get new items to augment your stats and become stronger. It's fantastic and runs perfectly on the Steam Deck. It's flawless at 60 FPS with around an 8W battery drain for over 5 hours of battery life on the OLED.
Blue Prince - $17.99 (40% Off)

Blue Prince is a fantastic roguelike and really unique compared to most others. You are essentially designing a mansion, carefully choosing rooms to walk through and get to the 46th room. There are constant puzzles to solve, intriguing ways to interact with the world, and it runs beautifully on the Steam Deck. I do recommend a 45 FPS cap for keeping battery drain in check, but still playable nonetheless.
Megabonk - $6.49 (35% Off)

Imagine if Vampire Survivors met Risk of Rain 2; Megabonk is what you get. You choose a character, run around in a level, constantly kill enemies, level up, get perks and new weapons, increase your stats, and survive as long as you can. And it runs flawlessly at 60 FPS on Steam Deck with low battery drain, which makes it a perfect game to take on the go.
The Rogue Prince of Persia - $8.99 (70% Off)

The Rogue Prince of Persia brings back the classic Prince of Persia formula with a roguelike twist, some expanded combat, and a gorgeous art style. There is a story here, which is interesting, but the mix of combat and parkour to get around stages is what really hooked me in. And it runs extremely well on the Steam Deck, easily hitting 60 FPS without a high battery drain.
WARRIORS: Abyss - $12.49 (50% Off)

If you love the Dynasty Warriors games as I do, Warriors: Abyss is a must-have. You go through multiple stages, fighting off waves of enemies, collecting warriors, and powering yourself up to make it to the end of the run. There's a good chunk of unlockables and extra modes, and it runs at a silky smooth 60 FPS most of the time. I recommend locking to 45 for stability, but either one should work!
Dungeons & Degenerate Gamblers - $7.49 (50% Off)

Balatro may have turned Poker into a roguelike, but Dungeons and Degenerate Gamblers went for blackjack. You’ll battle through a tavern, using your blackjack, hands, unique cards, unique chips, and much more to defeat the enemies you face off against. It also works perfectly right out of the box, hitting 90 FPS with low battery drain.
Streets of Rogue - $3.99 (80% Off)

This is a fantastic roguelike that I’ve never really seen another game come close to. You choose a character, all with different perks and traits, and complete missions on different floor plans. This allows for a lot of creativity and player choice, allowing us to try going stealthy, tricking enemies, or going loud and killing everyone. It can get really crazy, and it is perfect on the steam deck. It runs at 90 FPS with an average 8.5W battery drain, and it can go even lower with a 60 FPS cap.
Ballionaire - $4.93 (60% Off)

This game is basically a Pachinko machine turned roguelike. You drop balls into a machine that has a bunch of stops on it. As you play, you will add stickers to those stops to augment how your balls behave and how much money you make. Once you make a certain amount of money, you move on to the next round. It continues like this, and it's perfect to enjoy on the Steam Deck. It runs at 60 FPS easily without issue and has very low battery drain for long play sessions.
Death Road to Canada - $2.24 (85% Off)

This is like the Oregon Trail had zombies in it. You’ll constantly go across Canada, gathering resources, and supplies to stay alive and make it all the way. There will be tons of different weapons and events you can encounter, and it’ll all be incredible on the Steam Deck. It runs perfectly at 60 FPS without any issues and extremely low battery drain for over 6.5 hours of battery life.
Backpack Hero - $9.99 (50% Off)

If you loved Resident Evil 4's inventory management mechanics, this is going to be the perfect game for you. You go through a dungeon, constantly collecting items and organizing your backpack to fit them all. And it runs flawlessly on the Steam Deck, easily getting 60 FPS with extremely low battery drain. It's a perfect portable experience.
Dungeon Clawler - Honorable Mention - $9.74 (35% Off)

I didn't expect to include an honorable mention here, but Dungeon Clawler is a very unique experience that I wanted to include no matter what. It takes a claw machine and turns it into a roguelike, with you needing to pick up items within a claw machine that will dictate how you attack enemies. It's so much fun and runs perfectly on the Steam Deck with 90 FPS and low battery drain.
And those are the 10 roguelikes we think our perfect to get for your steam deck during the Steam Summer Sale.
