In what is a bit of a change-up to the usual showcase events, THQ Nordic ran a 25-minute event dedicated to their upcoming games, including unannounced ones. So if you are a fan of any of the games below, you're in for a bit of a treat. The show kicks off with an unannounced SpongeBob title, which has been rumored for a while, but we now have confirmation as well as gameplay footage. Check it out!

SpongeBob SquarePants: Titans of the Tide, a 3D Platformer, Releasing on November 18th

The previously rumored SpongeBob SquarePants game has been confirmed as a 3D Platformer entitled SpongeBob SquarePants: Titans of the Tide, and it's releasing in just over 3 months, on November 18th, 2025. You can check out the trailer above to get a neat little ditty sung by David Hasselhoff! There's some gameplay there, too, I suppose.

After a battle erupts between the Flying Dutchman and King Neptune, Bikini Bottom is thrust into chaos. It's up to SpongeBob and Patrick (who you can switch between as playable characters) to bring them to their senses and return peace to the town. The cast from the show has been confirmed to voice the characters in-game.

The game is releasing on Switch 2 and PC, will be Single-player only, and has an estimated playtime of 10 hours for the base game, with extra time added on by DLC.

More Information on the Gothic 1 Remake, Exploring Xardas, the Black Magician, and a Heap of Gameplay

If you've played Gothic 1, you'll be familiar with Xardas, a recurring character in the franchise, who helps guide the player on their journey. The showcase trailer revealed during the show explores Xardas a little further, showing how he knows what he knows, as well as some of his motivation behind his actions.

The game will retain the 24-hour day/night cycle, along with realistic schedules for NPCs and creatures, in order to create an immersive game world.

We got treated to a lot of gameplay footage, so if you want to see it all, head down to the embedded video at the bottom of this trailer.

No release date for this one yet, sadly.

The Guild: Europa 1410 is the Next Entry in the Series, Releasing in 2026

In case you aren't familiar with it, The Guild is a long-running "Medieval Life Sim", allowing players to raise their family from rags to riches in a living and breathing world, this latest instalment will be handled by Ashborne Games (who worked on Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 with Warhorse) and is due to be released in 2026 on PC. It's using Unreal Engine 5 and supports up to 12 players in multiplayer.

Developers of Road 96 Show More of Tides of Tomorrow, an Asynchronous Multiplayer Adventure, Coming February 24th, 2026

Tides of Tomorrow is an interesting experiment, an asynchronous multiplayer journey where other players' previous actions have an effect on your game. The game's narration is set around ecology and taking care of the planet, and is due to last between 8-20 hours due to the developers expecting players to replay the game due to the asynchronous multiplayer aspect changing the journey each time.

The multiplayer feature allows you to follow the footsteps of a fellow player, whether that be a streamer, someone on your friends list, or a random player. You can also play offline and follow some preset "players" who make pre-determined choices. You can also switch which player you are following at different points in your story.

Sacred 2 is Being Remastered, Coming in Q4 2025

In surprising news, Sacred 2 is being remastered for release later this year. The game will feature all updates and add-ons, and apparently, the team has been working with the community to make sure it's the best version of the game, eliminating many bugs.

Combat has been made faster, as well as supporting both keyboard and gamepad controls on PC, which is good news for Steam Deck owners, along with UI improvements to help with these changes. Visuals have also been improved with new shaders and higher resolution textures.

Interestingly, the remaster will bring back multiplayer, but only on PC; consoles will be kept as single-player only.

'Fatekeeper' Announced, a Story-Driven First-Person RPG

Fatekeeper is a first-person RPG, but whereas most games in this genre are open-world, the developers instead decided that they wanted to create a focused, story-driven experience with Fatekeeper. The melee combat mechanics were of particular focus for the developers.

To prove their point, we also got a look at some gameplay, and it does look like a pretty solid foundation for a fun title, with heavy-feeling melee gameplay mixed with some physics-based magic attacks.

The presentation ended with the developers saying that while the game isn't a "Dark Souls" game, it still does air on the more difficult side.

Darksiders 4 Revealed in a Teaser Trailer, Available to Wishlist

Fans of the Darksiders franchise were in for a surprise, with Darksiders 4 being announced via a short teaser trailer. No release date on this one yet, or any gameplay footage, but we do know it will be launching on PC.

Artistic Platformer The Eternal Life of Goldman Gets New Gameplay Footage

The Eternal Life of Goldman, a beautiful platforming adventure, was treated to a story trailer with some gameplay. It sounds like there's much more to the game than meets the eye. It's releasing on PC and Nintendo Switch in the future.

REANIMAL Given a Suitably Disturbing Gameplay Trailer, Releases Q1 2026

Anticipated Action RPG Titan Quest II Gets a Shadow Drop, Out Today in Early Access

Titan Quest II has been anticipated for a long time, with the developers teasing various monsters and locales through dev diaries for months now. It's finally time to dive in, as the game has just been dropped into Early Access today along with a new gameplay trailer!

Wreckreation Gets a Short Gameplay Trailer, Still No Release Date

A game I've been excited for for quite some time is Wreckreation. Made by former Burnout developers, it's clear that the game is heavily inspired by the series, even having the same boost gauge and very similar physics. Sadly, the game was announced way back in 2022, and we still have no release date yet, so this trailer will have to do for now.

That's all for the THQ Nordic Showcase 2025. What games are you looking forward to? I have to say, Fatekeeper and The Guild: Europa 1410 were my favorites if I had a pick a couple. Let us know in the comments below what you thought.

And as usual with these, you can watch the entire showcase below if you want to watch it in that format.
