A Summary of Today's Triple-i Initiative 2025 Showcase

Last year's Triple-i Initiative Showcase must have been a success, as they've brought it back for round 2. Today's showcase totaled 36 announcements across a variety of games, so let's take a look at what was shown during the Triple-i Initiative 2025 Showcase.

Katana ZERO's DLC is Still on the Way, and it Will Still be Free

Kicking off the show is Katana ZERO, with the game's long-promised free DLC confirmed to still be in the works and nearing completion, and reassurance that it will still be available at no charge.

VOID/BREAKER – Coming in 2025, Open Playtest on Steam April 10th - 24th

VOID/BREAKER is an Adrenaline-Fueled Roguelite FPS. Fight relentless machines driven by a hostile AI. Escape an endless cycle. Craft infinite weapon variants with deep gun modding. Forge deadly synergies. Carve your way out through environmental destruction.

FPS Survival Crafter 'Frostrail' Coming to Steam Early Access 2026

Endure a desolate post-apocalyptic world with arctic temperatures, unspeakable horrors, and one life-sustaining locomotive powered by the impressive Eden Engine. Scavenge underground dungeons and crumbling ruins across the tundra while braving forces both natural and unnatural, slaying horrifying abominations known as Revenants in intense FPS battles.

Band together with other survivors in 4-person online co-op for a greater chance against the harsh landscapes, ravenous opponents, and towering bosses.

The Alters is Coming June 13th, 2025

When the mission goes awry, he—and the players—will soon discover that survival depends on creating alternate versions of Jan. Neverway, a Nightmarish Life Sim RPG, Coming Soon

Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core, Sign up for Closed Alpha now

DEEP ROCK GALACTIC: ROGUE CORE is a spinoff of Deep Rock Galactic with a roguelite twist. The roguelite twist means you start from basics in each mission and cooperatively build up powers and abilities for the team, sometimes leading to insanely overpowered builds and other times to spectacular flops.

Outbound, the Camper Sim gets a Closed Alpha launching April 14th

Build your own home on wheels and live sustainably off-grid. Craft workstations and power supplies, source energy from the sun, wind, or water, upgrade and customize your vehicle, grow crops, and explore a colorful world.

Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor, Version 1.0, Releases September 17th, 2025

After more than 1 year in Early Access, the game has grown tremendously with more missions, biomes, features, and much more. Join the more than 1 million players who have tried to survive in the deadly mines of Hoxxes in this Survivor-like game.

SpeedRunners 2: King of Speed is Coming to Steam Later in 2025

Become a superhero and face your opponents in local or online races, now up to 8 players per lobby. Run, jump, slide, avoid obstacles, climb walls, use powerful pick-ups, and knock your rivals off-screen into the ever-shrinking ring of fire as you strive to become the last player running.

REMATCH Gets a June 19th Release Date and Closed Beta Weekend Starts Now

Rematch is a pretty interesting one, that looks like it meshes Rocket League with actual soccer, and we don't have long to wait to see how it is, as the Closed Beta weekend is live now, plus the game itself launches in just over 2 months.

Duskfade Gets a Gameplay Reveal, Launches in 2026

Embark on an unforgettable adventure as Zirian, a young workshop apprentice, as he sets out to restore time itself in a world enshrouded by eternal night. Shatter the shackles of time as you jump, swing, and slash through a vibrant clockpunk world, blending nostalgia with modern gameplay in a timeless love letter to action-platformer classics.

IKUMA – The Frozen Compass – World Premiere, coming 2026

1864, an uncharted island in the Arctic. Cabin boy Sam and loyal husky Ellie are stranded in the unforgiving cold. Endure the harsh elements, uncover a bleak mystery, and find your way home and to yourself.

Play solo as both characters or cooperatively with a friend. Your survival depends on your friendship!

Into the Fire – First Gameplay Reveal, Steam Early Access in 2025

Into the Fire will have you braving the fury of nature as you face volcanic demons on Dante's Archipelago. Armed with fantastic retro inventions and firefighting weapons, you will need to combat a deadly disaster and extract as many lives as possible in a time-pressing run for survival.

Tears of Metal – Public Beta Live on Steam until April 17th

Paper Cult has revealed a new gameplay trailer featuring a blood-pumping animated sequence that will get you in the mood to carve your way through hordes of enemies. The trailer delivers the high intensity that defines the game.

Vampire Survivors – Emerald Diorama Free Update Out Now

This new Free Update for Vampire Survivors is based on the SaGa franchise by Square Enix and is out now on the platforms that Vampire Survivors is available on, aside from Apple Arcade apparently.

ENDLESS™ Legend 2 is Entering Early Access, Summer 2025

Check out the brand new gameplay trailer for ENDLESS Legend 2, the next turn-based strategy game from AMPLITUDE Studios and Hooded Horse.

X4: Foundations is Getting a Free Diplomacy Update in Summer 2025

This free base game update will introduce new strategic elements, allowing players to engage in diplomacy like never before. At the heart of this update is the Embassy, a new facility where Diplomats can be brought together to represent their various factions.

Escape Simulator 2 – Demo Available Now on Steam

The trailer gives us a glimpse of the game in action, exploring new rooms, solving intricate puzzles, and experiencing fresh gameplay mechanics. 

From Dracula’s castle to a starship lost in deep space and a pirate ship on stormy seas, each environment is filled with hidden secrets and interactive challenges.

A demo is also out now on Steam.

CloverPit – Demo Available Now, Coming to Steam in 2025

Locked in a rusty cell with a slot machine and an ATM, players must pay off their debt at the end of each round, or fall to ruin – literally.

Manipulate the slot machine to earn extra coins. Turn the odds in your favor with various prizes, charms, and combos, snowballing into a dazzling lucky run. Bend the rules, break the game, and pay off your captor long enough to earn a shot at freedom. 

BlazBlue Entropy Effect Update Will Add Couch Co-op and Dead Cells Character

BlazBlue Entropy Effect, the character-based action roguelike, has two upcoming additions to announce – first is a new couch co-op mode where 2 players will be able to play on the same device, unleashing twice the power!

On top of that, fans of the acclaimed action roguelike Dead Cells will be able to play a free character from the Dead Cells universe, arriving in-game this summer.

SacriFire – A Narrative RPG, Launching Q1 2026

Shapez 2 – Dimension Update Coming June 2nd

Blacksmith Master – Coming May 15th, 2025

Blacksmith Master reveals its early access release date - it won't be long before you're ready to manage your own medieval smithy and supervise the entire process from mining ores and gems to designing and selling finished products.

The Eternal Life of Goldman – Coming 2025

The Eternal Life of Goldman has added Yasunori Nishiki (Octopath Traveler, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth) to its list of composers, meaning there is a pretty hefty line-up for this game now. It will be interesting to see how it all comes together.
