Another major gaming event, another round-up of all the news for us PC gamers, and yes, that includes the Steam Deck! Here is every game announced or shown at Gamescom's Opening Night Live 2024, along with their respective trailers. If we did miss a game, let us know in the comments below and we'll get right on including it. And as always, we'd love to hear your thoughts on the show and the games shown in the comments too!

Sniper Elite: Resistance Announced - Coming 2025

This is one that snuck in before the actual show began, during the pre-show, a new entry in the Sniper Elite franchise was announced, Sniper Elite: Resistance. It's due out in 2025 and is based in WW2 France.

Begone Beast, A Co-op, Somewhat Cute, Hack'n'Slash Horror Game, Entering Early Access in 2025

Another from the pre-show, Begone Beast is aiming to land in Early Access in February 2025, and is a 1-4 player co-operative horror game, but it still retains a somewhat cute appearance despite the fact that terrifying monsters are after you!

Nikoderiko: The Magical World is a New Platformer That's Due Out this October!

Nikoderiko: The Magical World, which looks heavily inspired by the Donkey Kong Country games, is due out this October. It also has David Wise composing the music for it, who as it happens, was a composer for Rare and made the music for the classic Donkey Kong Country games.

Enotria: The Last Song Gets a New Gameplay Trailer - September 18th, 2025

Souls-like Enotria: The Last Song was treated to a new gameplay trailer during the pre-show, ahead of the full release of the game in just under a months time, on September 18th, 2025.

Cairn Receives a New Gameplay Trailer - Coming 2025

Climbing simulator Cairn received a new gameplay trailer during the pre-show, showing off some of the gameplay mechanics such as foraging and inventory management, as well as, of course, climbing.

We Harvest Shadows is a Horror Take on the Farming Sim Genre, Demo Out Now

Described as an anti-cozy game, We Harvest Shadows is a first-person farming game, with a twist, run your farm, grow and harvest crops, and shoot the monster that comes for you at night. A demo is available now on Steam, ahead of a full release later.

A.I.L.A Is a First-Person Horror Game Set in the Near Future

Play as a game tester in A.I.L.A. In a world where an AI known as A.I.L.A crafts experiences for you, share your experiences with you as she creates ever-more disturbing scenarios for you to survive.

Revenge of the Savage Planet Brings Co-op to the Series! - Coming 2025

That's right, a new entry in the Savage Planet series is coming! Revenge of the Savage Planet will feature local and online co-op, allowing friends to team up in this Sci-Fi Action-Adventure game.

Directive 8020 is a New Game in the Dark Pictures Anthology, Coming 2025

If you thought the Dark Pictures games were over after The Devil in Me back in 2022, you'd be wrong, as Directive 8020 is here to continue the anthology, arriving in 2025.

Borderlands 4 Announced With Teaser Trailer - Coming 2025

Borderlands 4 received a short teaser trailer that looks fairly apocalyptic! It has a release date of 2025, and it will be on Steam.

Call of Duty Black Ops 6 Gets In-Depth Gameplay Footage - Releases October 25th 2024

We got a deeper look at a mission that will be featured in the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 campaign, which is due to be released on Steam on October 25th, 2024. There will also be a Call of Duty Next event on August 28th with more info about the game, including the multiplayer modes.

Goat Simulator Remastered Shown Off in a Wacky Trailer - Coming 2024

Goat Simulator Remastered was shown off with an expectedly zany trailer that takes the rip out of various video game franchises and is coming out later this year. It's also coming to Steam.

More Footage Shown for Persona 3: Episode AIGIS - Coming September 10th

We got a tiny peak at some footage from Persona 3: Episode AIGIS, not much to say about this one!

Dying Light: The Beast Announced - Coming Soon

Dying Light: The Beast has been announced, with an estimated play time of 20 hours, and brings back Kyle Crane from the original game.

Black Myth: Wukong Launch Trailer Revealed - Out Now

Kind of strange considering the game is already out, but we got treated to the launch trailer of Black Myth: Wukong, which now holds the record as the most-played game in Steam history.

Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero Gets More Gameplay Footage - Launches October 11th

We got another minute or so of footage for Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero, which is launching in just under 2 months on October 11th on Steam.

Dungeon-Creator/Crawler King of Meat Gets a Trailer

King of Meat is a 1-4 player Dungeon Crawler, where you can crawl other people's dungeons or create your own dungeons to terrorize others, it's launching on Steam in the future, and you can sign up for playtests now at kingofmeat.com

Lynked, a Co-op Hack'n'Slash Announced & Gameplay Reveal - Coming October 22nd

Lynked, a co-op hack'n'slash with roguelite and city-building elements was announced and simultaneously received a gameplay trailer, played from more of a top-down camera angle, this looks like it could be great fun to play on a portable! It enters early access on October 22nd.

First Gameplay Footage of Lost Records: Bloom & Rage Shown - Coming February 18th and March 18th, 2025

Lost Records: Bloom & Rage got its first gameplay footage shown after previous trailers just featured cutscenes and CGI. Now we get an idea of how the game controls and some of the gameplay mechanics in play here. The game will release on 2 "Tapes", releasing on February 18th, 2025, and March 18th, 2025.

No More Room in Hell 2 Shown - Coming Soon

No More Room in Hell 2 is an 8-player co-operative action-horror game, designed to force players to work together to survive and be endlessly replayable.

ARC Raiders Receives a New Trailer - Coming 2025

ARC Raiders, a Free-To-Play PvPvE shooter received a short trailer, confirming a 2025 release date, as well as playtesting beginning this fall.

Infinity Nikki Receives a Terrifyingly Happy Trailer - Closed Beta Sign-Ups Available

Infinity Nikki is an interesting game, with cutesy visuals that make you think it's designed for young girls to play dress up with, but then introduces some darker themes just to keep you guessing just what's going on! Well, we got another look at it today.

This one looks to be skipping Steam and is an Epic Game Store exclusive, however.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 Receives Short Accolades Trailer - Launches September 9th, 2024

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is a game many are hyped for, and it received a short accolades trailer during the show, I don't think anything new was shown here, but as the game is less than 3 weeks away, they probably don't want to give away too much.

Predecessor, a Free-To-Play MOBA-Shooter is Out Now, Gameplay Trailer Shown

We received a gameplay trailer for Predecessor, a Free-To-Play MOBA-Shooter inspired by Paragon, an ill-fated game created by Epic that was released into beta in 2016 before being shut down in 2018. Predecessor is available on Steam.

Path of Exile 2 Early Access Date Revealed as November 15th, 2024

Path of Exile 2, the highly-anticipated ARPG, received both cinematic and gameplay footage, along with the long-awaited release date reveal, which is November 15th, 2024. The game will be Free-To-Play and is on Steam.

MMORPG Dune: Awakening Gets Gameplay Video & Release Window - Releases Early 2025

We finally got a look at the upcoming MMORPG, Dune: Awakening, with a look at the character creator as well as a deep look at the gameplay, including combat, crafting, harvesting, vehicles, and base-building, we also got a release window, with the game launching in Early 2025.

Creators of Little Nightmares Announce REANIMAL - Coming Soon

REANIMAL, by the creators of Little Nightmares 1 & 2 was announced, which to me, just looks like Little Nightmares 3, but I guess things might be somewhat more nuanced than that! Either way, it very much looks to follow in the same vein.

More Footage Shown of Genshin Impact's New Region, Natlan - Coming August 28th

We got some footage shown for Genshin Impact's new region, Natlan. I have no idea about anything Genshin, so I can't really comment beyond that!

Monster Hunter Wilds Receives a New Trailer Showing More of its World - Coming 2025

Monster Hunter Wilds got a new trailer that revealed more than the largely desert-like environments we've seen so far. It was nice to see the world get a bit more fleshed out than it had been and it's looking pretty good to me!

A Brief Trailer Shown for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves - Coming April 24th

Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves got a short trailer showing off one of the characters you can play as in the game.

A New Mecha BREAK Trailer Shows Off Some of the Mechs You'll Be Using

We got some gameplay footage of Mecha BREAK, showing off some of the mechs you'll get to use in this multiplayer mech shooter.

Monument Valley III Announced - Coming December 10th, 2024

Monument Valley III was announced, this cutesy and minimalist-styled puzzler looks like another one that could be a good time on the Steam Deck. Unfortunately, it is Netflix Games exclusive and launches December 10th, 2024.

Sid Meier's Civilization VII Gets Gameplay Reveal - Releases February 11th, 2025

The eagerly-anticipated Sid Meier's Civilization VII received not only its gameplay reveal but also a release date of February 11th, 2025. Hopefully, this one will run on the Steam Deck given that it's also launching on last-gen consoles, as well as the Nintendo Switch.

Starfield Receives the REV-8 Rover as a Free Update Out Now. Starfield Shattered Space Launches September 30th

Starfield just received a free update that adds a REV-8 Rover to the game, letting you drive on planets for the first time. Plus Starfield Shattered Space will be launching September 30th.

New Footage From Marvel Rivals With a Focus on Captain America, Releases December 6th

Marvel Rivals got some gameplay footage, mostly showing off gameplay for Captain America and The Winter Soldier, the game launches on December 6th.

Secret Level is an Amazon Prime TV Series Based Around Video Games - Available December 10th

Something a little out of the norm, but Secret Level is a 15-episode series that is based on various video game properties and is being made in collaboration with Amazon Studios and several game publishers. It's available to watch from December 10th.

Age of Mythology Retold Receives Short Gameplay Trailer - Launches September 4th

Age of Mythology Retold got a short trailer and reaffirms the release date of September 4th, and it is on Steam.

Towerborne Gets a Short Trailer - Launches September 10th

The online co-op ARPG Towerborne was also shown briefly, with some gameplay shown and a release date of September 10th, also on Steam.

Delta Force: Hawk Ops Shows More Campaign Footage - Releases Q4 2024

Delta Force: Hawk Ops had a successful multiplayer beta recently, and received another trailer today, along with confirmation that it will be featured in the Steam Next Fest in October, and will release into early access in Q4 2024. Sadly, this one likely won't be compatible with the Steam Deck due to anti-cheat issues.

More Footage Shown for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 - Coming February 2025, Gameplay Reveal August 21st.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 received another trailer in its usual style, dialogue-heavy, with a dose of humor, and some immersive visuals. The hype is definitely building for this one. It launches February 2025. A gameplay reveal happens tomorrow.

Zenless Zone Zero Gets Trailer for the New Eridu Region

Genshin Impact isn't the only Hoyoverse game to be receiving a new region, Zenless Zone Zero is also getting the region of New Eridu.

Honkai Star Rail is Collaborating with Fate/stay night in Q3 2025

Lots of notice for this one, but Honkai Star Rail is doing a collaboration with the media franchise Fate/stay night, but it isn't happening until Q3 2025.

The Actual Little Nightmares 3 Receives a New Trailer - Coming 2025

After being announced a year ago, we finally get another look at Little Nightmares 3, looking suitably nightmarish as you would expect. No release date other than 2025 for this one.

Lead Your Herd to Safety in Herdling - Launching in 2025

Herdling looks like a fairly cute game where you have to guide a herd of Bovine-looking animals, but I feel like it's hiding something darker... Either way, it's launching in 2025 and I'm intrigued to know what it's all about.

Masters of Albion is the Latest Game from Peter Molyneux with RTS and Third-Person Action Elements

The creator of Populous, Theme Park, Black & White, and Fable had hit a bit of a rough patch as of late, with games like Godus failing to fully materialize once launched, and by his own admission on stage, his recent endeavors were not his best. But now he hopes to redeem his reputation with Masters of Albion. The game features both RTS elements, inspired by Black & White, but also with the ability to "possess" characters in the game world, and play from a third-person perspective. It will be on Steam.

A Further Look at Unknown 9: Awakening - Coming October 18th, 2024

We got a little bit of a glimpse at the upcoming Unknown 9: Awakening game from Bandai Namco, with a mix of live-action and in-engine footage.

Arena Breakout: Infinite Is Out Now in Early Access, Full Release Q4 2024

Arena Breakout Infinite, a multiplayer tactical extraction shooter has just released into early access on Steam, with the full release coming later in 2024.

A Further Look at Diablo IV: Vessel of Hatred - Coming October 8th, 2024

We got a look at some of the mercenary companions (Similar to followers in Diablo III) that can join you in the new Diablo IV expansion, the Vessel of Hatred, which is launching on October 8th, 2024.

The First Berserker: Khazan Gets New Trailer - Coming Early 2025

The First Berserker: Khazan, a new hard-core RPG Souls-like from Nexon received a new trailer during the show, showing off some story, the world, and of course, plenty of combat. It launches in Early 2025.

Ara: History Untold Receives a New Trailer - Launches September 24th

Ara: History Untold, a new 4X Strategy game from Xbox Game Studios received a trailer as well, with just over a month to go until it releases on September 24th. It did a surprisingly good job of showing almost nothing to do with the game, however!

Create Your Own Island in Floatopia - Coming 2025

Floatopia is a new life sim game that will let you create your own floating islands and share them with friends. It's a bit cutesy, perhaps overly so for my taste, but it definitely looks interesting to the right crowd! It's coming to PC in 2025, but we don't know if that means Steam or not yet.

More Indiana Jones and the Great Circle Footage Shown, Release Date Revealed as December 9th, 2024

We got a look a further look at Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, featuring a narration by Troy Baker, the VA who plays Indiana Jones in the game. We got a good look at the environments you'll be exploring in the game, as well as some of the gameplay mechanics at play here. The release date was also revealed as December 9th, 2024.

Mafia: The Old Country Announced, More to be Shown in December 2024, Due in 2025

A new Mafia game was announced, Mafia: The Old Country, set right back in the early 1900s, with the creation of the Italian Mafia. Aiming to create a narrative with a mob movie feel. There will be more info about the game revealed in December, with the game planned to launch in 2025.
