Mouse P.I. For Hire is one of the more unique games that I’ve seen recently. It’s a fast-paced shooter with a decent story that reeks of influence from the old Mickey Mouse cartoons. It uses his charm with rubber hose animation and has a fantastic cast behind the voices. And ahead of its release, it just got the illustrious green checkmark from Valve.

Earlier today, the game got the Steam Deck Verified badge, which is Valve’s seal of approval for the Deck. Specifically, this note shows that the default controller configuration and graphics configurations both work well; it shows the correct controller, icons, and the in-game text is legible. Now, the system isn’t the most trustworthy, but from what I played during the preview, I would say this is a well-earned badge.
On top of that, developer Fumi Games recently released the spec sheets for the game, which include a console sheet that had a section for the Steam Deck. On the sheet, it confirms that they are aiming for a 40 FPS lock at 800p resolution. However, seeing as the Xbox Ally can go to 60 FPS on the sheet, I think we will have some wiggle room on the Deck to make it perform better. The game releases in three days, so we won’t have to wait long to find out!

Mouse P.I. For Hire can be pre-purchased for $29.99 ahead of its April 16th release.
