Ever since I played Prop Hunt in Garry's Mod, I have loved playing hide-and-seek games with my friends online. There have been many over the years that I have tried and ended up not enjoying, but one of the ones I had a blast in was Midnight Ghost Hunt. Until now, playing on the Steam Deck was impossible due to an EOS (Epic Online Services) bootstrapper issue, but this shouldn't be a problem anymore after a new patch!

Patch 0.5.6 was released yesterday, and while it is very small, it is one that fixes the EOS bootstrapper issues that prevented the game from starting up! In the patch, the developer notes that they don't "officially" support the Steam Deck, so some features, like cross-platform play, may be missing from this version. While it does suck to hear that, it is nice to see the game is now able to run on the Deck!

You can check out the patch announcement on their Steam Community Post.

Midnight Ghost Hunt is available to purchase on Steam for $19.99.
