I am not a big racing fan when it comes to games, but a few have snuck by and have kept me from disliking the genre altogether. Burnout is a big one, but FlatOut comes in a close second. I love the destructive nature of the game and find it more fun to focus on destroying everything rather than actually racing. And now, we will be able to on Steam Deck without dealing with a pesky launcher!

FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage Collector's Edition got a random update today, 6 years after its last news update that just went over a sale, and now, we have a random update that I am so happy to report on. The update has removed the old Windows Live DRM, made the launcher optional, added achievements and more languages, and fixed bugs and loading times. All of this is coupled with the awesome news that the game is Steam Deck Verified!

Now, the game was working before the update, and it didn't have a bunch of trouble, but it's fantastic to see an update like this come through. I am more excited about the removal of the DRM and launcher more than the Verified badge, but it's a nice touch regardless.

FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage Collector's Edition is on sale until March 9th at 80% off, making it only $3.99. While I already have it, I will be purchasing a copy for my friend since this is the kind of behavior I love seeing and want to reinforce!
