Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration landed on Steam back in November 2022 containing a large collection of Atari's classic games. Since then, however, things have been pretty quiet for the game, but Atari has now just surprised us with a free content update!

This 'holiday update', adds 12 new classic Atari games to the collection, including homebrew and prototype games! Here's the full list of games that this content update adds:

  • Adventure II (homebrew) 2600
  • Bowling 2600
  • Double Dunk 2600
  • Maze Craze 2600
  • Miniature Golf 2600
  • MotoRodeo 2600
  • Aquaventure (prototype) 2600
  • Save Mary (prototype) 2600
  • Super Football 2600
  • Return to Haunted House (homebrew) 2600
  • Circus Atari 2600
  • Warbirds Lynx

Atari 50 now emulates 8 different Atari systems and contains a massive selection of over 100 games spanning 5 decades. It also includes additional developer interviews and some more behind-the-scenes goodies.

Atari also teased that there are future updates planned for Atari 50, which will bring new games, interviews, and further looks behind the scenes. So keep your eyes peeled for that, and we'll be sure to report on it when any future updates are announced.
