Akimbot is a 3D action-adventure platformer following the stories of Exe and Shipset in a world where only robots exist, as they try and save the galaxy from destruction, it's launching on August 29, 2024, on Steam. A Steam Next Fest demo is also launching on June 10th.
If you want a look at what kind of game Akimbot is, then you can check out the new release date trailer below:
In Akimbot, you'll play as Exe, a robot outlaw, who, along with Shipset, your unexpected sidekick, will fight your way through armies of robots, control spaceships, and forge your own path on a mission to save the universe from impending doom.
If you're eager to check Akimbot out, then you don't have long to wait, as a demo will be available during the Steam Next Fest starting at 10AM PT on June 10th. The demo will allow you to play through the beginning of the story, explore the environment of Data Bay, get to know its inhabitants, and play up to and including the game's first boss battle.
Akimbot is due to launch on Steam on August 29th. It has full controller support, and the system requirements are at the edge of what the Steam Deck can handle, but I think it might just be able to manage this one at low settings.
Does Akimbot seem interesting to you? It reminds me a little of Ratchet & Clank if I'm honest. Let us know what you think in the comments below!
