If you're a gamer of the more... older persuasion, then you might have played a game called X-Out way back in the early '90s. It was released for the Commodore 64, Commodore Amiga, and Atari ST systems, and it did pretty well for itself.
So well in fact that Ziggurat Interactive and ININ Games think it deserves another shot, this time with the title of X-Out: Resurfaced. This remake aims to upgrade the game for a new generation of gamers, bringing those quality-of-life improvements older games often need.
Want to check it out? Go right ahead and watch the trailer below:
X-Out was pretty unique, in that while most shoot-em-ups released back then were set in the air or outer space, such as Twin Bee and Galaga, X-Out opted to go for the underwater approach. X-Out: Resurfaced is bringing the game back with new graphics, more modernized gameplay, as well as some entirely new features!
Interestingly, the game doesn't have a Steam page yet, but we do know that it is coming to PC on both Steam and GOG.com, as per the trailer above.

X-Out: Resurfaced is coming to Steam soon, with a release planned for this Winter. Presumably, a game like this would have controller support, but regardless, I think this game would run just fine on the Steam Deck with a decent controller layout.
You can find out more information about the game on the ININ Games website.
