I am a sucker for games that prioritize physics-based gameplay, and that's exactly what drew me to We Who Are About To Die. It's an RPG Roguelike where you have to ruse through the arenas as a gladiator, managing your career, and of course, dealing with physics-based combat the entire time. I love it, and with the new Blood and Sand update, it's only getting better and better.

On the Steam Deck side, the new update includes some fixes to the UI. The tooltips were a bit offset on the smaller screen, so this should be corrected now. It's small in the grand scheme, but regardless, I do appreciate it.
The Blood and Sand update is a massive one overall though. It adds a new Sandbox mode, as well as Steam Workshop support with different Sandbox profiles that you can try out for yourself. There's also new UI to show which direction you are attacking, and there's been a massive overhaul to combat animations and physics. Polearms have three new attacks and there are 16 new Patron events, as well as Festivaals and bets now integrated in the match options panels.
There's a lot more in this update, and you can check all of it out in the changelog via their Steam Community Post.

We Who Are About To Die is on sale for $13.19 until June 25th and is rated Playable due to needing a community controller configuration, small in-game text, needing to manually bring up the virtual keyboard, and showing incorrect controller icons.
