Nightdive Studios has been crushing it when it comes to remastering and remaking some of the greatest classic games that could really use an update. Recently, they have completely hit it out of the park with System Shock and Rise of the Triad: Ludicrious Edition, and now, they are taking on the third entry of the Turok series. And today, Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion has officially been Steam Deck Verified! While this doesn't mean it will perform well, it is still awesome to see!
Like other Nightdive restorations, Turok 3 has been fully upgraded from the original Nintendo 64 version released in 2000. Using the KEX Engine, the visuals have been enhanced with new rendering features like dynamic shadows, ambient occlusion, and anti-aliasing, remastered models and environments, 4K 120 FPS performance, and achievement support!
This is all worthwhile and fantastic considering everything, though today isn't all good news. There was a minor delay in the release, which will see Turok 3 now coming out on November 30th. It is minor, and thaknfully, we will still see it coming this year, but it is a slightly longer wait. Regardless, I can't wait to try the game out! It looks like a perfect fit for the Steam Deck, and with how well Turok 1 and 2 perform, I can't see this being any different.

Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion can currently be wishlisted on Steam.
