I can't count the number of times I have gone back and played Skate 3 in the last couple of years. There's something magical and addicting about the title, and I can't stop playing it. Sadly, it has been 14 years since its release, but thankfully, a new title was announced last year! Now, we have confirmation that the new Skate will be coming to Steam!
Based on a post directly from the official Skate account on X, it was confirmed that the game will be coming to Steam on PC. It could be coming to other DRMs, like Epic or EA's App, but this is a great development that has only heightened my excitement for the release on PC!
There is no official word on Steam Deck support or the requirements to run it yet, but it is exciting to see. More than likely, the game will run through the EA app as a third-party DRM even in Steam, but there have been some games that haven't had this, like Dead Space, so I am not as worried. My biggest worry is EA putting in their anti-cheat if Skate is a multiplayer game, which will render it unplayable on the Deck.
Here's hoping there won't be any anti-cheat!
