EVO 2024 is here delivering a bunch of news for fighting game fans, and TEKKEN 8 just got its latest DLC character revealed! Heihachi Mishima, the King of Iron Fist, was shown off in a new character reveal trailer, and will be joining TEKKEN 8 in the Fall of 2024.

In a series first, TEKKEN 8 is receiving an entirely new chapter to its story mode, expanding on “The Dark Awakens” storyline, which continues the clash between the Kazama and Mishima families. “The Dark Awakens” story mode expansion will be available as a free update for all TEKKEN 8 players.

That's not all the news for fans of TEKKEN 8 though, Bandai Namco revealed a collaboration with Nike, Inc. which brings the brand into the fighting game universe. This collaboration will bring the Nike Air Foamposite One sneaker into the game as a cosmetic item, which was inspired by Jin Kazama and Kazuya Mishima. Those at the show could get a real-life version of the sneakers too.

It's possible we'll see more content than just the sneakers; however, more information on the collaboration is due nearer the Fall release date.

TEKKEN 8 is available on Steam for $69.99, the game is rated as Playable on the Steam Deck according to Valve's testing, and we also found the game to be perfectly playable on the Steam Deck in our review.
