Ever since it was announced to come to PC, I have been really excited for Stellar Blade. It was one of the few games I didn't get on release and haven't had a chance to go back and play it. Now, I will get the chance on PC, and today, we officially know the release date for the game and the specs that it will ask for, which makes it look very positive for Steam Deck users.

In a blog post on PlayStation, the technical director at Shift Up, Dongki Lee, went over the upcoming PC version of the game and the optimizations and changes that were made. This includes DLSS and FSR 3 upscaling support, unlocked frame rates, ultrawide resolution and 4K textures, new trials, 25 new nano suits, and more. It sounds like a fantastic, definitive version of the game, and the specs revealed make it even more likely that enjoying on the go will be possible and enjoyable.
At the minimum system requirements, we are well within the Steam Deck's range:
- AVERAGE PERFORMANCE - 1080P @ 60FPS
- GRAPHIC PRESETS - Low
- CPU - Intel Core i5-7600K or AMD Ryzen 5 1600X
- GPU - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB or AMD Radeon RX 580 8GB
- RAM - 16GB
- STORAGE - 75GB HDD
(SSD Recommended)
In general, this may seem high, but it's very important to note that this is estimating for 1080p resolution and 60 FPS. The resolution on the Deck will be lower and with lower framerate targets like 30 or 40 FPS, it should be well within the playable range.
This was also confirmed by Stellar Blade's official Twitter account not too long ago! They mentioned that we can get around 45-50 FPS with the right settings on the Steam Deck and they did extensive testing and optimization:
This was a response to someone being unhappy with the game having Denuvo, which can effect how a game performs, but it sounds like the team has really pushed to make sure the game will perservere regardless. I am extremely happy to see this, and I can't wait to play the game for myself soon!

Stellar Blade can be pre-purchased on Steam for $59.99. However, you can get it on GreenManGaming for $50.99 with coupon code MAY15.
