Steam Deck Verified/Playable Highlights 10/30/23 - 11/5/23

This last week, we had a solid amount of games get a Steam Deck Verified/Playable badge. Unlike other weeks, there was more Verified games rather than Playable ones, and they include some awesome upcoming titles like Salt and Sacrifice and Worldless! Here are the highlights we found from the last week:

Verified or Playable games don't automatically mean they work amazing out of the box. Some of these games may require work to optimize and play well. Here are our thoughts on the Verified system and how it can be fixed.

Steam Deck Verified/Playable Highlights 10/30/23 - 11/5/23

Salt and Sacrifice (Verified)

Join your fellow Marked Inquisitors in this online coop successor to award-winning 2016 Soulslike Salt and Sanctuary. Craft unique weapons and armor from the otherworldly flesh and bones of the Mages you destroy. Master dozens of powerful weapons and runic arts: “safe” manipulations of the corrupt Magic your foes wield in this hardcore 2D Action RPG.

The game releases tomorrow and is rated Verified.

Worldless (Verified)

Worldless is a stylised 2D platformer with a unique, active, turn-based combat system, and a mind-bending interpretative narrative. Players embark on a journey of self-growth and understanding, pushing the limits of their nature in a newly born and abstract universe.

The game releases on November 21st and is rated Verified.

Chants of Sennaar (Verified) (SDHQ Review)

Legend says that one day, a traveler will reunite the Peoples of the Tower who are unable to communicate with each other. Observe, listen, and decipher ancient languages in a fascinating universe inspired by the myth of Babel.

The game is currently $15.99, on sale from $20 until November 13th and is rated Verified.

Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 - Turbocharged (Verified)

The world’s raddest cars are back and taking the fun to the next level! Race over 130 vehicles with crazy new mechanics and even more vehicle types. Plus, build your tracks with stunning new environments and different game modes to have fun off and online!

The game is $49.99 and rated Verified.

Hellboy Web of Wyrd (Verified) (SDHQ Review)

Hellboy Web of Wyrd is a roguelike action brawler with an original story created in partnership with Dark Horse Comics and Hellboy creator Mike Mignola. When an agent of the B.P.R.D. goes missing, Hellboy is sent to investigate; pulling him into the depths of the Wyrd.

The game is $24.99 and rated Verified.

The Jackbox Party Pack 10 (Verified)

Become a party legend! The celebrated franchise returns with epic drawing battles in Tee K.O. 2, chaotic type-offs in FixyText, time-travel trivia in Timejinx, hidden identity intrigue in Hypnotorious, and group music-making in Dodo Re Mi.

The game is $34.99 and is rated Verified.

Wargroove 2 (Playable) (SDHQ Review)

Trouble stirs on the shores of Aurania. An ambitious new faction has unearthed forbidden relics capable of catastrophic consequences. But how far will they go to achieve glory? Take to the battlefield, sea, and sky with a cast of new Commanders, using your wits to wage turn-based war!

The game is $19.99 and rated Playable, though it should be rated Verified based on how well it plays on the Steam Deck.

Party Animals (Playable) (SDHQ Review)

Fight your friends as puppies, kittens and other fuzzy creatures in PARTY ANIMALS! Paw it out with your friends remotely, or huddle together for chaotic fun on the same screen. Interact with the world under our realistic physics engine. Did I mention PUPPIES?

The game is $19.99 and rated Playable due to small in-game text.

The Invincible (Verified)

Rethink human’s dominion in The Invincible: a story-driven adventure set in a hard sci-fi world by Stanisław Lem. Discover planet Regis III as scientist Yasna, use atompunk tools looking for a missing crew and face unforeseen threats. Make choices in a philosophical story that’s driven by science.

The game is $39.99 and rated Verified.

Jusant (Verified)

Enjoy meditative vibes in Jusant, an action-puzzle climbing game. Scale an immeasurably tall tower and ascend to new heights alongside your watery companion. Master your climbing tools, find your way up through diverse biomes, and piece together the tower’s past.

The game is $24.99 and rated Verified.
