This week had a solid amount of new Steam Deck Verified and Playable games, including one of the oldest games on the platform! Here are the highlights we found that are worth your time to check out:

Verified or Playable games don't automatically mean they work amazing out of the box. Some of these games may require work to optimize and play well. Here are our thoughts on the Verified system and how it can be fixed.

Steam Deck Verified/Playable Highlights 11/13/23 - 11/19/23

Half-Life (Verified)

HalfLife25UpdateStock3

Named Game of the Year by over 50 publications, Valve's debut title blends action and adventure with award-winning technology to create a frighteningly realistic world where players must think to survive. Also includes an exciting multiplayer mode that allows you to play against friends and enemies around the world.

The game is currently free, but will soon be $9.99. It is rated Verified.

Lethal Company (Playable)

LethalCompanyStock1 1

Lethal Company is a co-op horror about scavenging at abandoned moons to sell scrap to the Company. You will need to work together with your friends to get scrap to meet your Company's quota, but beware, it gets dangerous at night and you will need to communicate with your team to make sure nothing gets left behind.

The game is $9.99 and rated Playable due to needing to use the virtual keyboard, needing a community controller configuration, and sometimes showing non-Steam-Deck controller icons.

Ghostrunner 2 (Verified)

Ghostrunner25

Blood will run in Ghostrunner 2, a hardcore FPP slasher set in a post-apocalyptic cyberpunk future. Become the ultimate cyber ninja and prepare for epic boss fights, improved skills, an interactive story, new game modes, and captivating synthwave soundtrack.

The game is $39.99 and rated Verified.

Cuisineer (Playable)

Cuisineer4

A super cute and tasty roguelite-flavored dungeon crawler! Explore a lush world and defeat monsters with your trusty spatula and some boba tea, then gather delicious ingredients and bring them home to cook and serve at your restaurant!

The game is $24.99 and rated Playable due to some small in-game text.

Sweet Transit (Verified)

SweetTransitStock1 1

Sweet Transit is a unique city builder where the railway is king and trains are the sole means of transportation. Quaint villages will expand to bustling cities, farms to industrious factories, and steam-powered rail to combustious diesel... and beyond in this interconnected, train-driven world.

The game is $21.99 and rated Verified.

Alien Hominid HD (Verified)

Cobalt Core is a sci-fi roguelike deckbuilder with a deep new single-axis spin on tactics games! Dodge missiles, line up your cannons, and blast 'em out of the sky... Then get to the bottom of these time loops, before it's too late!

The game is $19.99 and rated Verified.

KarmaZoo (Verified)

KarmaZooStock2

Share the love and die trying! KarmaZoo is a joyful, altruistic, cooperative platformer where up to 10 random players help each other with the unique abilities of 50 different characters - all for the sake of good Karma.

The game is on sale for $7.49 until November 28th and is rated Verified.

Back to the Dawn (Verified)

BacktotheDawnStock1 1

You were framed and incarcerated. Learn to survive in prison. Explore every inch and exploit any weakness. Manipulate and scheme. Make friends (or foes) with fellow inmates and with their help, break out of prison.

The game is $19.99 and rated Verified.

Personally, I am excited to see Ghostrunner 2 and Back to the Dawn get the green checkmark. Last week had a bunch of great games join these ranks, including Like a Dragon Gaiden, Persona 5 Tactica, RoboCop, and more! Regardless, there is no shortage of games to play on the Steam Deck, that's for sure.
