Steam Deck Verified/Playable Highlights 1/29/24 - 2/4/24

Last week, we had a good chunk of games that were re-evaluated to see if they should have any updated Steam Deck Verified/Playable status changes, but that doesn't mean we didn't have any awesome new ones to check out! Here are ten different highlights we found when looking through the new badge owners:

Verified or Playable games don't automatically mean they work amazing out of the box. Some of these games may require work to optimize and play well. Here are our thoughts on the Verified system and how it can be fixed.

DRAGON QUEST BUILDERS (Playable)

The beloved block-building RPG, DRAGON QUEST BUILDERS, is bringing its handy crafting features to Steam! Weave your own tale as you build your own unique buildings and towns to restore Alefgard to it's former glory!

The game will be released on February 13th and can be pre-ordered now for $27.99. It is rated Playable due to needing a community controller configuration.

Bandle Tale: A League of Legends Story (Verified)

Bandle Tale: A League of Legends Story is a crafting RPG set in the whimsical world of Bandle City. After a party goes wrong, the portals that connect your home collapse and throw everything into chaos! Using your knitting magic and backpack house, restore the portals to reunite Bandle City.

The game will be released on February 21st and can be pre-ordered now for $24.99. It is rated Verified.

Ultros (Verified)

ULTROS is a psychedelic metroidvania where you wake up stranded on The Sarcophagus — a cosmic uterus holding an ancient, demonic being. Trapped in the loop of a black hole, you will have to explore The Sarcophagus and meet its inhabitants to understand the part you play...

The game will be released on February 13th and can be pre-ordered now for $22.49. It is rated Verified.

Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition (Playable)

The Definitive Edition of the critically acclaimed, award winning open-world action adventure, reworked, rebuilt and re-mastered for the new generation. With all previously available DLC included and a wealth of tech and visual improvements, Hong Kong has never felt so alive.

The game is $19.99 and rated Playable due to a launcher that needs a touchscreen or virtual keyboard and some small in-game text.

GRAVEN (Playable)

Action, mystery, and a chance for redemption await you in the gritty first-person action-adventure GRAVEN. Explore a dark fantasy world as a wrongly convicted man of faith. Battle the horrors of humanity, the wilds, and beyond using armaments, magic, and the environment.

The game is $24.99 and rated Playable due to a launcher that needs a touchscreen or virtual keyboard and possibly needing a community controller configuration.

Midnight Heist (Verified)

Go on heists through Midnight City alone or with up to three friends to fulfill tasks as a hacker for various organizations. Improve your reputation, earn money and uncover the secrets of shady companies in this co-op horror game.

The game is $9.99 and is currently in early access. It is rated Verified.

Bad Egg (Verified)

One egg stands alone vs an army of zombie chickens! Get to the chopper or you're clucked. A free-range frenzy from the eggheads behind Shell Shockers, Slayaway Camp and Plants vs Zombies.

The game is $3.99 and is currently in early access. It is rated Verified.

Pixel Cafe (Verified)

Step into Pixel's shoes in this one-of-a-kind journey that bridges time, memories, and the aroma of fresh coffee. Dive deep into a city balancing its past and future. Engage in intense arcade challenges, immerse yourself in heartfelt stories, and navigate a world crafted in pixel art.

The game is $12.99 and is rated Verified.

Trail of the Wretched (Verified)

Trail of the Wretched is a bleak visual novel set on a fictional continent inspired by the old west. You play as a photographer sent across the ocean to capture the New World in all its untamed and horrible beauty.
