Ever since I first saw REANIMAL, I have been excited for it. I loved Little Nightmares, so getting a similar game from the original team behind it was exciting. And for the most part, it delivers. However, when it was released, it wasn’t able to get the illustrious Steam Deck Verified badge, but with today’s patch, that has now changed.

REANIMAL

Today, developer Tarsier Studios released patch 1.7 for the game, which included the last bit they needed to fix to get the green checkmark. Specifically, they had to implement support for the virtual keyboard to make sure it would pop up on its own when necessary. So, now there should be no issues playing it on the Deck, and the Verified badge has been issued. The game should still run similarly to how it did before, and we recommend playing it at 30 FPS. We also have brand new HDR support, which should work on the Deck as well.

As for the rest of the patch, we do have some crash fixes and online connection fixes, but we also have Ultrawide monitor support, which means that we should be able to use monitors that are much wider. This won’t really be helpful on the Deck, but it’s still nice to see.

You can check out the full change log for the update on their Steam Community post.
