Plague Inc: Evolved is an ancient game by now, and what always impresses me is how the developers continue to support the game even in 2026. A new update for the game is out now with some great news for fans of the Steam Deck.

In the past, while Plague Inc: Evolved is classed as Verified on the Steam Deck, things could have been improved, especially regarding the controls. However, this 1.22.1.7 patch is said to greatly improve the overall experience on the Deck. The details of these improvements aren’t covered in any real detail, but glyphs have been reworked, as well as better readability to improve those small fonts. A bug with the Steam Deck controller has also been fixed.
