We may have been treated to Pac-Man on a mass multiplayer scale before with Pac-Man 99 on the Nintendo Switch, but now Bandai Namco is back with PAC-MAN MEGA TUNNEL BATTLE: CHOMP CHAMPS, a name so long that Pac-Man could do with eating some of it himself!

Before we dive into what the game is all about (surprise, you're eating stuff!), here's the pre-order trailer for the game:

Rather than playing in a single maze, PAC-MAN MEGA TUNNEL BATTLE: CHOMP CHAMPS features several mazes connected by tunnels. Now it's your job to eat as much as you can, even your opponents so that you can be the last PAC standing!

Collect and use power-ups to either give yourself offensive capabilities such as stunning nearby PACs so you can gobble them up or protect yourself against a PAC that's chasing you down with a shield to buy you time to escape!

PAC-MAN MEGA TUNNEL BATTLE: CHOMP CHAMPS is launching onto Steam on May 9th for $19.99, it has partial controller support, and easy-to-run system requirements, so there's a good chance the Steam Deck will be able to run it, barring any anti-cheat that might be imposed.

It's worth noting that the game is online-only, and the only single-player mode is a tutorial mode.
