I still remember the day I first got my PS5, and the first game I played was Bugsnax. It’s a weird game all about figuring out what’s going on on this island where everyone can turn their body parts into different types of creatures they eat. The creatures are made from food, and we can essentially turn our body into all these different foods. Since then, the game has been released on Steam, and soon, it’ll be something we can experience in VR using the Steam Frame.

Yesterday, the game got a new update, specifically prepping it for the Steam Frame. The update adds preliminary support for both the Steam Frame and Steam Frame Standalone, which means it’s getting support for playing this game through streaming to the Frame or downloading it and playing it directly on the headset.
I feel like this is something we are going to see more and more leading up to the release date for the Frame, and I’m extremely excited. This is just the beginning of the onslaught of games that are going to start announcing support for the headset, and it just gets me excited for the possibility of it releasing soon. Bugsnax is an interesting game as well, and while I never played it in VR, I know I’m excited to try it out for myself when I get the headset.
Bugsnax can be purchased for $24.99. The game is playable on the Steam Deck as well, and is rightfully rated Verified. So, even if you decide not to play it in VR, you can still play it normally on the go.
