New dwproton Update Completely Fixes hololive Dreams On Steam Deck

Thanks to Proton being open source, there are lots of individuals who are creating their own versions of the layer with extra fixes and compatibility patches. Some of the most popular, like Proton GE, come with extra improvements that can’t be added to Valve’s layer, which makes it great for us to have. One of my favorites to use is dwproton, which includes fixes and improvements for gacha games and other anime titles. Recently, they’ve added a workaround for Honkai Star Rail to make it work perfectly out of the box, and now there’s a new patch to do the same for hololive Dreams.

With the new update for dwproton, hololive Dreams should now be completely playable on the Steam Deck. The update implements missing features and fixes blockers that were preventing the game from launching, which is what earned it that Bronze badge on ProtonDB with a bunch of reports of it not working. Now, there should be no problem for it to run, which is awesome.

The Proton layer can be downloaded via ProtonPlus, which can be downloaded through the Discover Store in Desktop Mode on the Steam Deck.
