First Dwarf might be flawed, but it still carries a certain charm that I respect. Over the last months it is gradually improving, and Update 28 has added some big Steam Deck improvements that should go a long way towards giving First Dwarf that big Verified badge.

This action RPG is rough around the edges, but I do enjoy it, and Update 28 adds a few new features, such as being able to tame animals and a couple of new Ancient Technologies. The big thing, of course, is the Steam Deck improvements. While First Dwarf has the Playable status already, this new update will configure everything automatically for optimal performance. Furthermore, the onscreen keyboard will come up when naming save files, and the text size has been increased. Overall, this is a solid little update!

First Dwarf is 25$ on Steam. It's rated Playable due to needing to manually set the graphical settings, needing to manually bring up the virtual keyboard, small in-game text, and needing a community controller configuration. However, this update does fix most of these issues.
