I remember when I first played Darkest Dungeon and fell in love with the gritty atmosphere and addictive gameplay loop of forming a party to go on roguelike runs. Darkest Dungeon 2 takes it to another level, where you go on a road trip with your customizable stagecoach. It's an awesome experience, and it sounds like it will be getting better on the Steam Deck.

While there are a ton of balances and changes with this update, there's one specific one that relates directly to the Steam Deck. The default font size on PC has been adjusted to be slightly smaller, while a larger font size option was added that will become the new default on the Steam Deck. For such a text-heavy game, this will make playing much more comfortable on the Deck.
The bulk of this update is focused on quality of life improvements, and there are many to go around. The UI overall is more readable, the glossary's tokens will appear when it's more appropriate and they have been recolored and categorized, Academic View now displays when skills ignore tokens, health bars now have quarter lines, CRITs no longer increase the duration of DOTs, there's an increased chance to encounter the Crypt Keeper in the Catacombs, and so much more.
There are a ton of changes here, and you can check out all of them in the full changelog via their Steam Community Post.

Darkest Dungeon 2 is on sale for $19.99 until June 4th and is rated Verified.
