It's hard to deny just how great Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is. The RPG is quite possibly one of the best in a long time, with a gorgeous world, great interactive turn-based gameplay, and a truly interesting story. It's amazing seeing how well this game is doing, and it deserves all of its success. On top of that, it just got a brand new update that features a nice Steam Deck improvement that I was happy with.

The new update includes many fixes and improvements across the board, which is awesome, but it also includes a specific fix for the Steam Deck. This patch fixes the backgrounds of different menus in the UI that were not displaying correctly on the Deck. It's a small fix, but I am happy to have it anyway to make the experience on Deck the best it possibly can be.
The rest of the update includes fixes in different areas of the game. Ultrawide resolutions got a bunch of fixes, like the combat UI adapting correctly, and cutscenes won't letterbox when in a 32:9 aspect ratio. Different areas of the world map where you could get stuck have been fixed, weapons and skills got some fine-tuning, the boss encounter in Stone Wave Cliffs can now be finished on New Game +, and the mouse and keyboard controls got some changes.
You can check out the full changelog for the update via their Steam Community Post.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 can be purchased on Steam for $49.99, but you can also get it on Fanatical for $40.99 and save some money.
