Arc Games and Snapshot Games have teamed up to announce that a new Third-Person Action Strategy game, entitled Chip 'N Clawz vs. The Brainioids will be receiving a demo during the upcoming Steam Next Fest, which will run from February 24th to March 3rd.

The game will blend the action associated with third-person games and the strategic depth of a Real-Time Strategy, in a world inspired by the style of comic books.

The game's development will be led by Julian Gollop, founder and CEO of Snapshot Games, who also created the original X-COM title back in 1994.

You can check out the announcement trailer for the game below:

Chip 'N Clawz is due to launch this Spring with cross-platform play between PC and consoles and will let players embark on a family-friendly co-op adventure together.

The developers aim to mix and match the complex strategy of RTS, with the more simple and easy-to-enjoy aspects of your average action game, so that they can create an accessible, but still deep experience.

The demo will allow players to go through 4 missions, 2 challenge levels, and 2 PvP maps all with local and online play support. You'll also have plenty of weapons, mods, and base-building options to choose from.

Gather resources, build your base, improve your heroes, command your forces, and then fight alongside them in battle as you enjoy a blend of strategy and action-packed gameplay, you'll be able to fight with or against your friends as you fight as a team or as foes. You will, of course, be able to play the game in single-player as well.

Chip 'N Clawz vs. The Brainioids is due to launch on Steam this Spring. A demo for the game will be available from February 24th, 2025.
