Ready for a more story-focused game? Then Between Horizons has got you covered. You assume the role of Stella, the newly appointed Chief of Security on board the Zephyr, a ship on a deep space voyage. But all is not well aboard the Zephyr, and it's your job to figure out just what is happening, and save the mission!

Check out the release trailer to see the game in action, as well as a teaser of the game's story:

Looks pretty interesting to me! This 2.5D pixel art adventure has branching paths when it comes to its narrative, exploration, as well as investigations. Use your skills as a detective to solve the troubles facing the ship and its crew, uncover evidence, collect clues, and confront the citizens on board the Zephyr to try and find out what's really going on.

But be careful, your decisions have consequences, even if you make mistakes, the story will continue to progress, meaning you'll have to live with both the good and bad decisions that you make. Can you find out how all the evidence fits together? Or will you stumble blindly from one mistake to the next? Both are valid options in the world of Between Horizons.

And don't even think about reloading that save! Between Horizons has an auto-save feature designed to prevent players from reloading a past save to alter their choices, meaning you will truly have to live with your mistakes.

Between Horizons is out now on Steam for $14.39, that's a 10% discount from the usual price of $15.99 until April 8th, 2024! There's also a demo available if you want to check that out. The game has full controller support and should work on the Steam Deck given the game's system requirements.
