Yesterday, management and life-sim Bear and Breakfast had its new 1.8.20 update, which added in Brazilian Portugese language support, reworked controller support, and optimizations across the board. While these are welcome fixes, unfortunately, the update caused a couple of issues on the Steam Deck due to a filesystem bug and the menu freezing. Luckily, developer Gummy Cat released two small hotfixes to address these issues and get the game back to a very playable state on the Deck.

In two hotfixes both released today, the Steam Deck issues that were making it unplayable were addressed. Hotfix 1.8.21 fixed the game not launching at all due to the filesystem bug, while hotfix 1.8.22 fixed the freezing menu bug that was plaguing the game. It seems this affected any devices that were touch-compatible, including controllers like the Dualsense 4, and now it has been fixed.
Other than this, Bear and Breakfast is awesome to play on the Steam Deck. If you are looking for a laid-back, charming, and intriguing management game to play on the go, I would definitely give this one a look!
