After releasing into early access in November 2022, and then getting its full release recently in December 2023, Against the Storm has passed one million units sold on Steam! Against the Storm holds a Metacritic score of 91 as well as a 95% User Rating on Steam, so it's well-deserving of its commercial success.

It's far from over for Against the Storm, however, as the team is working through the roadmap that they've set out for the game, just recently releasing the 1.2 patch which added new content and QoL improvements.

The team is now working on the free update known as Patch 1.3, as well as a DLC expansion, both of which are expected to launch later this year.

Eremite (developers of Against the Storm) Co-Founder, Lukasz Korzanowski says that he believes Against the Storm's success has been down to the development team listening to and respecting player feedback as they developed the game, and that it's reassuring to see how small teams like their own can find success with their games.

You can purchase Against the Storm on Steam for $29.99. There's also a demo available if you want to try out the game for free first. The game is rated as Verified on the Steam Deck by Valve's testing. It holds a Platinum rating on ProtonDB, however, users report that some text may be difficult to read on the Steam Deck.
