There were some fantastic new Steam Deck Verified and Playable games to check out over the past week. The upcoming Outbound and REPLACED both got the green checkmark, while the newly released Road to Vostok got its Playable badge.

Here are the 11 highlights we found:

Verified or Playable games don't automatically mean they work amazingly out of the box. Some of these games may require work to optimize and play well. Here are our thoughts on the system and how it can be fixed.

Outbound (Verified)

Explore a colorful world and build your own cozy home on wheels. Craft workstations, and source energy from the sun, wind, or water. Upgrade and customize your vehicle, grow crops, and live sustainably off-grid with up to 4 players.

The game will be released on April 23rd and is rated Verified.

REPLACED (Verified)

Expose the sinister secrets of Phoenix Corporation as R.E.A.C.H., an AI trapped in a human body. Set in an alternate 1980s America scarred by nuclear catastrophe, navigate a dark cyberpunk thriller in this narrative-driven 2.5D platformer blending cinematic exploration with fluid, free-flow action.

The game will be released on April 14th and is rated Verified.

The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales (Verified)

A brand-new action RPG from the creators of OCTOPATH TRAVELER and BRAVELY DEFAULT – The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales combines stunning HD-2D visuals and exciting action-adventure gameplay for the first time!

The game can be pre-purchased for $59.99 ahead of its June 18th release, and it's rated Verified.

People of Note (Playable) (SDHQ Review)

In this turn-based RPG musical, join Cadence as she recruits an ensemble of musicians on her quest for stardom. Experience turn-based combat like never before, where each battle is a musical performance with evolving combat conditions and genre-bending mashup attacks!

The game is on sale for $22.49 until April 21st and is rated Playable due to small in-game text.

Aliens: Dark Descent (Playable)

Drop into the gripping journey of Aliens: Dark Descent, a squad-based, single-player action game in the iconic Alien franchise. Lead your soldiers in real-time to stop a new and terrifying kind of Xenomorph outbreak on Planet Lethe.

The game is $39.99 and rated Playable due to small in-game text.

Road to Vostok (Playable)

Road to Vostok is a hardcore single-player survival game set in a post-apocalyptic border zone between Finland and Russia. Survive, loot, plan and prepare to cross the border into Vostok, a permadeath zone where one mistake can end it all.

The game is on sale for $14.99 until April 21st and is rated Playable due to small in-game text, needing a community controller configuration, and showing incorrect controller icons.

Gecko Gods (Verified)

Explore a forgotten land in Gecko Gods, a puzzle-adventure built for curiosity. Climb walls, solve ancient puzzles and uncover a lost civilisation in a world full of hidden paths, quiet secrets and natural wonder.

The game will be released on April 16th and is rated Verified.

MARVEL MaXimum Collection (Verified)

Experience one of the most comprehensive gatherings of Marvel’s early gaming legacy. Every major iteration across Arcade and home consoles, this collection is a curated journey through the evolution of the 1990s Marvel Universe in pixels.

The game is $24.99 and is rated Verified.

OPUS: Prism Peak (Verified)

OPUS: Prism Peak is a narrative adventure where you play as a weary photographer stranded in the Dusklands, traveling with a girl who's lost her memories. Together, you'll uncover the mysteries of this land through your camera and find your way home.

The game will be released on April 16th and is rated Verified.

Rotwood (Playable)

The world has been thrown into chaos, and it's up to you and your friends to battle the corrupted beasts of the Rotwood. Upgrade your gear, choose your preferred weapon, and hone your skills to defend your safe haven.

The game is on sale for $22.49 until April 23rd and is rated Playable due to showing incorrect controller icons and small in-game text.

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach (Verified)

Sam – with companions by his side – sets out on a new journey to save humanity from extinction. Join them as they traverse a world beset by otherworldly enemies, obstacles and a haunting question: should we have connected?

The game is $59.99 and is rated Verified.

However, the game has massive performance issues in the latter half of the game, as well as some drops below 30 FPS throughout. I don't recommend playing this on the Deck.
