HITMAN: World of Assassination continues to be one of the few games that I keep coming back to whenever a new update drops. The ideas that come from IO Interactive keep me hooked, and I’m always interested in the new levels and assassinations we have to take part in. Recently, their next celebrity contract and DLC were released, and we have to assassinate the one and only Wiz Khalifa, who is participating in an underground boxing match. Thanks to IO Interactive, I got a chance to check out the contract and its corresponding DLC, which comes with some neat weapons, costumes, and access to the contract whenever I want. And I’m pleased to say that the team has created another challenging mission with its own set of achievements and items to go along with it.

The mission itself is one I particularly enjoyed throughout. We are tasked with killing Taylor Graves, played by Wiz Khalifa, and we will have to sneak through a broken-down castle filled with spectators to take them down. It’s a beautiful map, filled with twists and turns that kept challenging me as I was trying to get through it. Investigating and seeing what options we have has always been one of my favorite aspects of the game, and it was just as fulfilling going through this one as I formulated my strategies for taking Taylor down.
The map itself is dark and haunting, and I loved it. Finding my way around the catacombs and navigating the maze that is this castle didn’t let up, and there was enough variety to make the map feel interesting. Whether it be walking around the fighting pit or finding my way into a room that feels perfect for a cult meeting spot, there was no shortage of intriguing locations that fit right in with the theme.

After trial and error, I was able to find a way to a good vantage point to eliminate him with my silenced pistol, but it wasn’t easy, and I definitely had to change my costume up a couple of times. However, I was also able to figure out other methods of assassinating this way. While I was getting my disguise as staff, I found rat poison. And on my way to the vantage point, I made my way into the kitchen. Once I had completed the mission once, I found myself back again, trying to eliminate him with poison.
As always, I had to take a look at the challenges as well to see what other unique ways I could try completing the contract. Like finding a way to eliminate the target with a Viking axe, or using the gibbet, or killing them with a broadsword while wearing a suit of armor.

I’m really glad that I have the DLC as well, because this is a mission I want to keep on replaying to complete its challenges even when the free access to it ends on July 5th. However, I’m a big fan of the new weapons and costume as well. The suit is sleek, and it fits in well with the blunt knife to whack people with. And there’s a new set of cosmetics for the freelancer mode, which I can’t complain about.
And of course, it performs exceptionally on the Steam Deck. The default graphical quality sticks above 40 FPS most of the time, while keeping the phenomenal visuals. The reflections, details, and environments all stand out, making me fall in love with playing this game on the go once again. HITMAN remains one of the most impressive titles on the Deck, and The Wizard doesn't change that.
Ultimately, the new contract is awesome, and I’m glad that I can keep on playing it without worrying about disappearing or needing to rush through to complete all the challenges for the next two weeks. And the new weapons and suit had some interesting spins that I can carry over to other contracts. This is an easy recommendation for $5, and another great addition to the game as a whole.

The Hitman WOA: The Wizard DLC is available for $5, while the Elusive Target contract is available for free until July 5th.
