If you are looking for a new puzzle-adventure game, check out Firmament. Made by the studio behind Myst and Riven, Firmament has you going around an abandoned world to explore and discover the mysteries behind different realms. While the game is already quite playable on the Steam Deck, there was a new patch that should help it a bit more and make it look nicer overall.

The 2.08 update that was released yesterday adds two new methods of upscaling: TSR and XeSS. Both of these options tend to be better than the upscaling that was already included in the game, which, according to PCGamingWiki, is FSR 1.0. TSR can give mixed results, but XeSS has been looking better than FSR recently. And with the FSR in-game being 1.0, these new methods should be significantly better to use on the Steam Deck, giving us both better framerates and better-looking visuals.

The game will also now appropriately auto-detect your supersampling settings based on your scalability settings and platform type, which means we shouldn't have to change many settings to get the best results. DualShock controllers are working again, book pages won't flip back and forth when spamming page returns, there have been new translations for UI and minor art adjustments across the board, and performance improvements have been made to decrease memory and draw load in different areas of the game.

You can check out the full changelog for the update via their Steam Community Post.
