ZERO Sievert is an awesome game to play on the Steam Deck, and one that I find myself enjoying when just wanting to relax. It gives the Escape From Tarkov extraction shooter experience, all single-player and with a top-down, sprite aesthetic. Recently, it got a new update that improved its Steam Deck playability and added a new prologue, but that came with some issues. Thankfully, a new hotfix was released that should fix a bulk of the problems!

ZERO Sievert

There were reports of loading problems when getting into the game on the Steam Deck, as well as not being able to use consumables. This hotfix fixed both of these issues, making it significantly better to play on the go. When I initially covered the first update, I didn't encounter these issues, but I was notified of them, so I am glad they have been fixed.

The patch also fixed an issue where the new prologue could cause the game to crash, so it should be more stable overall. I am happy to see how quickly the developer has been on top of the issues. I did load up the game again, and I can confirm that I was able to load into the game and use consumables without any issues.

You can check out the changelog and announcement of the hotfix via their Steam Community Post.
