Yomi 2 is an extremely interesting-looking game. It takes a regular fighting game and turns it into a card game, having you put together moves and combos using cards in strategic ways. With 20 characters, ways to augment them, a single-player career mode, and multiple multiplayer modes, it sounds like there's a lot to enjoy here. And with an update yesterday, we will be able to enjoy it on the Steam Deck with possibly better battery life.

The newest update for the game, which was released yesterday, added V-Sync to the game. This means that, when enabled, the framerate of the game will match the refresh rate of your display. This can potentially save a lot of battery power if you play with an uncapped frame rate since this will make sure it matches your refresh rate. This could be done before the update using SteamOS's framerate limiter, but this could also introduce input lag. Now, if you choose to use V-Sync, this issue will not be a problem!

The new update also includes a solid amount of new content and changes! Two new characters are now available to play, as well as an interesting new career location. There are also some new card tooltips to explain keywords and some new quality-of-life improvements for when a round is over, and the game will now default to your computer language if it is supported when launching the game for the first time.

There is definitely more going on with the update, so you can check out the full changelog via the Steam Community Post.
