Windblown may not have the same popularity as developer Motion Twin's last title, Dead Cells, but it's a fantastically competent roguelike. I love the emphasis on faster-paced gameplay, while also still retaining the excellent roguelike feel that Motion Twin has cultivated with Dead Cells. The game got a massive new update yesterday, which adds tons of new content and some Steam Deck fixes.

For the Steam Deck specifically, there are two changes with this patch. If you are playing on a Steam Deck, it will now specifically show the Steam Deck control schematics instead of an Xbox controller when looking at the options, and there will no longer be a "controller recommended" text on the title screen. They are small changes in the grand scheme, but welcome ones.

As for the rest of the update, we have a brand new spooky biome, new enemies, a new boss, four new weapons with a new trinket, two new enemy variants, 1 new skin, 5 new upgrades, new accesisbility options, you can now retrieve your remains by finding where you died in a new run, there's a new skin for your Axolotl, and there have been a plethora of bug fixes across the board.

You can check out the full changelog for the update via their Steam Community Post.
