WARCANA is a pretty interesting little game. Developed by 1000 Orks (which might be one of the cooler studio names I know), this is a blend of deckbuilding and tower defense set in a grim fantasy world. While I have yet to play the demo, this is right up my alley. Speaking of demos, 1000 Orks made two big announcements today! The first is the release date of WARCANA, which will be released on August 15th and was announced via a fancy new announcement trailer.
The other is an expanded demo players can try out now. The demo will be available for one week starting today.
The scale of battles in WARCANA is impressive. Unlike other tower defense titles that focus on smaller army sizes (especially the defender), players can summon thousands of units to the battlefield. Taking control of a powerful magician, your role is to protect your base from the hordes of monsters looking to destroy you, as well as challenges by other magicians.

Not only does WARCANA feature an expansive single player campaign, it contains multiplayer and a 30 player Battle Royale mode. There's a lot of content on offer here, and the updated demo includes all these features. Players can also modify their own decks, with hundreds of cards to choose from.
WARCANA can be wishlisted on Steam right now, and you can bet I'll be keeping a close eye on this one. Hopefully, it will be a great experience on our Steam Decks. What do you think of the game? Let us know in the comments below, and have a great day!
