Varlet is an upcoming high school RPG from FURYU Corporation, and its pre-purchase is now live on the Nintendo Switch ahead of its release on August 28. The standard edition of the game will retail for $59.99, and the Digital Deluxe Edition will be available at launch, priced at $79.99.  A creative artbook, the official soundtrack, and two school uniforms you can outfit your Hero with, Monark & The Caligula Effect 2 will be included in this Deluxe Edition.

Gain an 80-page collection of illustrations that offers the eerie beauty and emotional complexity of Kousei Academy to life by ordering the Deluxe Digital Edition of the game. Up to 13 vocal songs and 40 original background tracks are featured in the 53-track soundtrack. Wotaku, NILFRUITS, OSTER project, Yoshida Yasei, Tadano Kaeded / A4, Hitoshizuku, Yamasankakkei, KANON69, Daibakuhasin, and legendary composer Tsukasa Masuko composed the soundtrack for this RPG.

You can get two DLC uniforms in Varlet for the Deluxe Edition: the “Monark” School Uniform and the “The Caligula Effect 2” School Uniform.

The game starts from Kousei Academy, where every student must discover the Glitch, a surreal dimension. Monsters replace the students to take control. While you’re a Student Support Services member, you need to fight against the deadly creatures to save the school.

Help your allies and defeat the monsters by selecting the Leader or Ruler role in the game. Use evolving traits like Morality, Sympathy, Altruism, Machiavellianism, Psychopathy, and Narcissism to customize your story and personality. Make sure to maintain relationships with others, but don’t get too close.

Players can play the Varlet on Aug. 28, 2025, on PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch.
