Valve has been on a roll lately with the Steam Deck OLED and the plethora of updates to the device which constantly improve the aspects that a lot of people are looking for. Today, we did get a new stable client update, but we also got a teaser for an upcoming update that will give players more customization with the Deck's LEDs.
In a post by Pierre-Loup Griffais on X (formerly Twitter), he mentions an upcoming update that will allow users to control how intense their Power LED is. While this will be visually impactful for all Steam Deck OLEDs in general, the Limited Edition versions of the Deck will see the most change due to their more transparent shells.
I am extremely interested to see how this will affect the look of the device, especially on the more transparent shells that either come with the limited edition model or are installed manually. There is no timeframe for when this update will be released, but it is one I am looking forward to, regardless! Our Steam Deck OLEDs are on the way, and we will be doing some digging into them as soon as they get here, so look forward to our coverage coming soon!
