Thronefall is a gorgeous little tower defense city builder where you have to create and defend your kingdom. It's small in scale when compared to other similar games, but it stands tall as a fantastic game in its own right. Playing it on the Steam Deck has gotten better over the last couple of updates as well, with a UI scaling option introduced in the last update, but with this one, we may see the game get Verified.

With the newest update yesterday, we have about 10 changes and fixes. While each one helps everyone playing on any device, there's one change that specifically improves playing the game on the Steam Deck. There have been some increased text sizes for specific areas in the game, like the perk descriptions and building choices, making it all readable on the smaller screen. With the only knock against it being small text, this should be the update that brings in the green checkmark!

There were also some nice changes that made it easier to tell units apart from each other. Units will come in two different shades (for melee and ranged) and unit icons will be displayed over their heads so you can tell which is which more easily. There are also some rounded edges of floating UI elements, achievement and bug fixes, and a separation for toggles to disable tips and tooltips separately.

You can check out the full changelog via the Steam Community Post.

Thronefall is available on Steam in early access now for $9.99 and rated Steam Deck Playable due to the small in-game text, which should be fixed with this update.
