Publisher The Arcade Crew (Blazing Chrome, Young Souls, Infernax) and developer Sleepy Mill Studio have announced that The Tribe DLC for Drop Duchy is coming, offering new content to players. The game was released back in May and became a huge success, selling more than 100,000 copies. This new DLC will be available for $3.99, or bundled with Drop Duchy’s base game at a 10% discount for $17.10 on August 18. New mechanics, along with some new features, will be introduced, providing a new experience.

Drop Duchy

The game allows the players to command the new Tribe faction, introducing exclusive building types. The innovative design offers building kingdoms on a grid-based board. The Tribe DLC urges players to explore the world and use strategies to overcome any challenge across any mode. The ancient power of stone with the Tribe faction can modify the battlefield to the new gameplay mechanics.

Channeling the wisdom of the druids is featured in The Tribe, and four buildings are added in The Tribe. These exclusive buildings are inspired by monumental relics like Stonehenge and towering menhirs (upright stones placed by ancient humans), emphasizing stone alignment and exploration.

Use a Stone Circle to gain maximum resources when you place it in the Cairn’s Area. The Sacrificial Site helps you to recruit one unit for each unit removed. You can recruit for each square explored in the round via the War Council. Use distinct patterns like rectangles for the Cairn’s Area or straight lines to put new standing stones. Doing so can activate specific effects, producing a boost of resources. The forest blocks, the exploration system, and the all-new Constellations mechanic synergize with the nature-bound tacticians.

Constellations mechanics are also featured in the Drop Duchy’s free content update. Use the Constellations system to jump into astrological energy mid-run. These are rechargeable abilities that allow you to turn the tide of victory on your side. Make sure to customize the terrain, disable enemies, and shape-shift blocks to make progression smooth.

Elite enemies will come with greater challenges on every step, as they will start coming in Act 4. Make sure to use your dominion with 12 common cards that each faction can access. Players can unlock all-new cards from the progression tree. There are a total of 16 new challenges added to the game, and each comes with the latest mechanics. Completing these challenges allows you to unlock new cards and make the progression quick.

Players can now adjust the game according to their settings by using new accessibility and comfort settings. The DLC also brings some Quality-of-life upgrades like new deck filters, a one-click “clear path” button, and access to challenges from any place. Drop Duchy offers unique mechanics to any player due to the puzzle-like block placement.
