The Spell Brigade has become one of my favorite Vampire Survivor-esque games. Not only is it intriguing to try and create combinations of upgrades to make my spells overpowered, but it's fully playable with online co-op, and it's awesome. While the game is already quite playable on the Steam Deck, there is always room for improvement, and developer Bolt Blaster Games has put out another update to make it better for portable play.

This update includes several improvements, but the only one that focuses specifically on the Steam Deck is the increase in the size of the XP bar, HP bar, and spell slots to improve their readability on the Deck's smaller screen. This, along with the visual revamp of the UI with more consistent colors and animations, should make the UI much more appealing and readable overall.
The rest of the update adds more content and improvements across the board. There's a new lobby with different visuals to show player progression, two new objections to complete with friends, defeating Sol'phish gets players an augmentation to use, category navigation in the stat menu is now loopable, the Enchantments menu's visuals have been refined, many localizations were improved, and a player's ready state is now easier to cancel.
There is a bit more to the update that I haven't discussed here, and you can check out the changelog for it via their Steam Community Post.

The Spell Brigade is available on Steam for $9.99 and is rated Verified.
