Our video overview of the news if preferred!

On top of eliminating the queue, it appears Valve has released the official Steam Deck dock! With the launch of the website, it is now available and expects an estimate 1-2 week delivery.

Steam Deck official dock

If we scroll further down, we can see the tech spec breakdown which includes 3 USB-A 3.1 ports, a gigabit ethernet port, a DisplayPort, and HDMI 2.0, as well as a USB C power delivery passthrough which all seem to be tightly fit with each other on the back of the Deck.

DockSpecs

This is super exciting and awesome to see the Dock finally being ready for release, but that isn't the biggest kicker. Once you hit buy now, you are taking to the screen to buy it and see it is a whopping $90!

DockPrice

This is admittedly a bit hefty. Yes, it does have 3 USB 3.1 and a DisplayPort + HDMI, but this feels pretty pricey considering the alternatives. The JSAUX Upgraded dock, SDHQ reviewed as well, is $50 and is only missing the DisplayPort and has USB 3.0 instead USB 3.0 and USB 3.1 Gen1 are the same, so the only missing thing is the DisplayPort. Thank you for catching! While some may find value in it, we feel it is a bit on the expensive side for what is being offered.

Of course, we have already purchased it and will be reviewing and comparing it to the others once it arrives!

What do you guys think? Will you be picking up the official dock? Let us know in the comments!
