The Last Spell is one of my favorite tactical RPGs because of its mechanics and gorgeous visuals. It's also a blast to play on the Steam Deck, with good controller support and a lightweight aesthetic that makes it so much more playable on the portable device. There was a small issue with the controllers, though, and it should now be fixed in a new minor update!

In a new hotfix posted yesterday, we have a small update that fixes an issue with the Steam Deck controllers. The controllers were interfering with the mouse controller, and it wasn't working properly, but now, this little patch should fix it!
You can see the changelog on their Steam Community Post, but there isn't much else there other than links to their Discord and Twitter.

The Last Spell is currently on sale for TactiCon for $14.99. There are a ton of great games on sale for the event, too, and you can check out our recommendations for games you should check out!
