The Garden Path is a new cozy life sim that was released yesterday, and it looks wonderful. I love some slice of life sims, especially on the Steam Deck. This one seems quite unique overall as well with its visual style, and that alone makes me want to play it, but I do like the emphasis on gardening and being designed for short bites of gameplay. To celebrate its release, we have a launch update that has already started to improve playability on the Steam Deck.

The new update that is live fixes a weird issue where the game will exit early after launch on the Steam Deck. Now, the game won't close itself early on when you launch, which is great. It seems this issue is still being investigated as well, and while it's going on, live achievements have been disabled. Progress won't be lost, though, so there's nothing to worry about on that front.
The update overall is small, but it does fix some bugs that could really mess with your playthrough. Prop visuals will now reload in recently edited chunks, you can place rallied props in succession, and the game window won't duplicate when you are on a second monitor. None of these are game breaking, but in the end, they are nice bugs to be fixed!
You can check out the changelog for yourself via the Steam Community Post.

The Garden Path is on a 15% off sale on Steam for $16.99 until August 6th. It has no rating for Steam Deck yet, but it does have a native Linux build!
