The Bleakest Keep is what people should be looking into if they fancy a nice, horror roguelike for the Halloween month. It’s already a solid experience with its art style and gameplay, and a new patch just dropped that makes a bunch of tweaks and fixes to the game, including better UI for the Steam Deck automatically applied.

This is a small patch as things go, but the tweaks in this are important. The throwing knives in The Bleakest Keep have been reworked, zombie spawns have been adjusted during the Queen Elenid boss battle, and the healing price has been adjusted.
For Linux and Steam Deck users, the opening cinematic and outfit animated 2d images have been disabled with text sizes set to large, which will smooth out the experience. This is automatically applied if you’ve yet to launch the game, but this is an easy option change in the settings menu.

The Bleakest Keep is available on Steam for $10.
